Welcome to Granite Hill School
The Granite Hill School has been serving youth since 1996 and has become well known for its ability to help struggling learners experience academic, social and vocational success. Our instructional methods are rooted in the philosophy of John Dewey and include differentiated instruction, participatory learning, and experiential learning.
The Granite Hill School mentors students by teaching problem solving, social skills development, and character education and provides meaningful transitional services through its campus-based and community-based vocational programs.
Together, these techniques at GHS have proven to be effective in nourishing the student’s sense of self and helping that student to become a knowledgeable, competent and responsible adult.
“Formation of enduring attitudes, likes and dislikes, may be and often is, more important than the lesson. For these attitudes are what fundamentally count in the future.”
~John Dewey
